The international Austria Incubation Programm
GIN – Global Incubator Network

As part of the Global Incubator Network (GIN) "goAustria" is carried out by two different sorts of vouchers and their categories up to a max. of 5.000 Euros of funding. The promotion format "goAustria 2weeks" includes a stay for a period of three/two weeks to gather insights, experiences and contact opportunities in Austria. The second promotion format "goAustria individual" supports international start-ups in the construction of a concrete Austrian an European network. "goAustria" offers assistance in the form of co-working spaces, mentoring and coaching as well as promoting cooperation of network activities in Austria.

What is being funded "goAustria 3weeks" or "goAustria 2weeks" covers the costs for the support through incubators for a period of three/two weeks. "goAustria individual" offers support for intensive and individual acivities.

The goAustria initiative is soon to be launched as part of the new GIN Global Incubator Network. The Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) will give up to 10 innovative international start-ups the opportunity to participate in an incubator programme in Austria.
 
Why participate?
The goAustria initiative enables participants to gain valuable insights, experiences and contacts in the Start-Up Hotspot Austria network. This will help them get their innovation and their company ready for the European market. goAustria also opens participants coveted access to the Pioneers Festival in Vienna, one of the largest and most important start-up events in Europe.
 
How does it work?
A jury including Austrian and international experts will select up to 10 international start-ups to participate in the incubator initiative. The programme will run for a maximum of three weeks and explore the opportunities and peculiarities of the Austrian and European market.
 
What does the goAustria initiative offer to participants?
  • Participation, presentation and exhibition at the Pioneers Festival in Vienna (2-3 days in May)
  • Follow-up: Office in a co-working space (2-3 weeks)
  • Individual coaching and mentoring for market validation
  • Introduction to Austrian and European business cultures
  • Networking with potential business partners, venture capital funds and business angels
  • Pitch-Training
  • Demo Day: present your start-up to relevant players and investors
  • Development of business models
  • Networking and expert events
 
Who can participate?
The goAustria initiative addresses innovative founders and young companies that have already developed their first product and gained some market experience.
 
What funding is available?
The Research Promotion Agency (FFG) will cover the costs of participation in the Pioneers Festival, mentoring and coaching, workshops and co-working spaces under the goAustria initiative as part of the GIN programme. The participants are expected to organise and cover the costs of their travel and accommodation.
