FFG Academy: Striking Synergies - Preparing a competitive ERC Synergy Proposal
In an exceptional combination of two to four principal investigators (PI) with complementary skills and resources, ERC Synergy Grant projects should address ambitious research questions in a way that would not be possible for the individual PIs.
The Synergy Grant aims for transformative research and is open for unconventional approaches and research at the interface of established disciplines.
How do ERC reviewers go about assessing Synergy projects? What are ingredients of a competitive proposal? This online session focuses on the evaluator’s perspective and examples from a successful proposal. Peter Hinterdorfer, Chair of Biophysics, Head of Applied Experimental Biophysics and Group Leader Atomic Force Microscopy at the University Linz will share his experiences as Synergy Grant Panel Member.
