Quantum Austria
Quantum Austria is a funding initiative of the Federal Ministry for Women, Science and Research, financed through the Recovery and Resilience Facility of NextGenerationEU and administered by FFG and FWF, which supported basic research and application-oriented projects in the field of quantum technologies from 2021 to 2026. Its goal was to advance basic scientific inquiry as well as the development of practical applications all the way to market readiness. To this end, research projects and networks were funded and infrastructures were established, providing long-term support for basic research and for the development of quantum solutions in collaboration with industry.
The closing event summarizes the milestones achieved and opens up prospects for the long-term operation of quantum-technology infrastructures and for establishing quantum technology solutions in Austrian research institutions and companies, as well as across Europe. In the spirit of past Quantum Austria networking meetings, the closing forum once again provides an opportunity for exchange between science, industry and policy at one of the world’s leading hubs for quantum research.
Registration & Travel
Participation is free of charge. Details about the program and registration are available in the download section. The FFG strives to organize the event according to the minimum requirements of the Austrian Eco-label guideline for Green Events. Therefore, we recommend climate-friendly travel. Both event locations are well connected by public transport, making arrival by train very convenient. The connection between the two venues can be found on the orientation map.
The following connections are located in the immediate vicinity of each venue:
- Campus Innrain (Innrain 52): Tram line 2 (stop Innsbruck Klinik/Universität, Innrain 36) and Tram line 5 (stop Innsbruck Klinik/Universität, Anichstraße 42)
- Campus Technikerstraße (Technikerstraße 21a-25): Tram line 2 (stop Innsbruck Technik) and Tram line 5 (stop Innsbruck Technik)
From Innsbruck main station, both stops can be reached by Tram line 5 towards Innsbruck Technik West.
