Österreichs Unternehmen und Institute sind am internationalen Parkett sehr erfolgreich. Verschiedene Programme und Initiativen unterstützen sie dabei – allen voran das EU-Programm für Forschung und Entwicklung, "Horizon Europe". Es hilft den Unternehmen, sich in europäischen Projekten sowie in den FTI-Partnerschaften und Missionen der EU an Forschung, Technologie und Innovation auf Top-Niveau zu beteiligen. Dazu kommen weitere internationale Angebote, wie die der IEA-Forschungskooperation. Die Möglichkeiten reichen von der Forschungszusammenarbeit über internationalen Technologietransfer bis zur Unterstützung beim Markteintritt.
