At the heart of this networking workshop is the question of how policy-driven digital technologies can become a motor for innovation in European manufacturing. This is explored through concrete projects from the 2023 funding call for Digital Technologies, additional flagship projects and cross-border collaborations covering real-world application areas such as the Digital Product Passport, seamless identity coding of textile fibers, optimizing product design for ecodesign compliance, industrial process optimization, and more.
The workshop opens with a series of lightning talks presenting flagship projects and cross-border collaboration experiences. A fishbowl discussion then brings together project representatives to share insights and debate the opportunities and challenges of digital transformation in manufacturing within a European context.
An interactive session deepens the exchange and fosters networking and connections between research and industry practice.
The workshop closes with a dedicated look at cross-border funding opportunities, covering available options, key contacts, and concrete pathways for international collaboration, giving participants the tools to take their next steps beyond the workshop.
