The info session focusing on “Climate-Resilient Smart Agriculture using AI & IoT” will provide an overview of the call objectives, scope, eligibility conditions, and application procedures. Participants will also receive guidance on proposal preparation and evaluation criteria, as well as practical information on good and bad practices. The virtual matchmaking session aims to facilitate the formation of high-quality, transnational consortia by connecting potential applicants from Europe and Southeast Asia.
As part of the Virtual Call Info & Matchmaking Session, a dedicated pitching session will be organised to actively support the formation of high-quality, transnational research consortia within the framework of the 10th SEA–Europe Joint Funding Call for Science, Technology and Innovation.
When registering for the event, you can also apply for the pitch. Application Deadline: 30.01.2026
Why pitch at the info session?
The pitching session offers participants the opportunity to present their project idea and specific partnering needs to an international audience of potential collaborators from Europe and Southeast Asia. Its objective is to facilitate targeted networking and enable researchers to identify suitable partners with complementary expertise, infrastructure, and strategic interest.
Who can pitch?
Target group are researchers from Belgium, Brunei Darussalam, Czech Republic, Indonesia, Malaysia (tbc), Philippines, Switzerland, Thailand, Türkiye and Vietnam (tbc)
Pitching procedure:
Selected participants will be invited to deliver a short, structured pitch presentation (~5 minutes). To ensure clarity, comparability, and alignment with the call objectives, a standardised pitch deck template will be provided and must be used by all pitching participants.
Each pitch should address the following elements:
- The core idea and objectives of the proposed project
- The relevance to the call topic Climate-Resilient Smart Agriculture using AI and IoT
- The expected scientific and/or technological contribution
- The specific types of partners sought (e.g. expertise, role in the consortium, country)
To foster direct interaction, each pitch will be followed by a dedicated breakout room. In these breakout rooms, pitching participants can engage directly with interested attendees, exchange initial information, and discuss potential collaboration opportunities in more detail. This format is designed to support focused and efficient discussions and to facilitate the early formation of project consortia.
How to apply for the pitching session?
If you would like to apply for the pitching session as part of the Virtual Call Info & Matchmaking session on 24.02.2026, you need to upload a short pitch deck when registering for the online session. Interested pitching applicants must register with a short pitch deck (see pitch deck guidelines) latest by 30.01.2026.
