The Österreichische Forschungsförderungsgesellschaft (FFG) is Austria's premier funding institution for industry-related research and development. Many of FFG's programmes welcome international cooperation partners, creating opportunities for global collaboration in research, development, and innovation.

Each year, FFG disburses approximately 1 billion Euro in funding. Its experts provide around 14,000 consultations on national funding and more than 6,500 on European R&D initiatives annually. FFG is currently also active in 20 national and international networks.

FFG, the largest Austrian funding Agency for Research, Innovation and Technology development, also forms the hub of all Austrian National Contact Points for Horizon Europe, the EU’s key funding Programme for Research and Innovation. Thereby, FFG offers direct access to expert information, training and coaching towards a competitive EU proposal.

FFG works alongside OeAD GmbH as part of the Austrian bridgehead tandem for the pan-European service network Euraxess-Researchers in Motion. FFG offers support to international researchers and entrepreneurs particularly addressing questions on taxation and social security in Austria.
