As part of the Transformation Initiative, research, development and innovation projects of Austrian companies are supported with the following objectives:
- Transformation within value chains and supply chains (enhancing resilience in production)
- Sustainable transformation (e.g., alternative energy sources, use of secondary raw materials)
- Digital transformation, including the development of new business areas and business models
The programme supports the development of products, services and processes that contribute to transformation within value and supply chains (enhancing resilience in production), sustainable transformation (e.g., alternative energy sources, use of secondary raw materials), as well as digital transformation and the creation of new business areas and business models.
Funding for company projects is targeted at leading enterprises (technology leaders), growth-oriented SMEs and startups with a strong focus on research, development and innovation, who aim to implement sustainable initiatives.
This transformation requires the corresponding development of skills, and thus the appropriate qualification of the workforce in Austrian companies. The support of skills vouchers, qualification projects and continuing education labs contributes to the development of these competencies.
