The fifth short talk will focus on projects at the intersection of Chemistry and Material Sciences and is organised in collaboration with the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and EU Liaison Office of the German Research Organisations (KoWi) – Kooperationsstelle EU der Wissenschaftsorganisationen (KoWi).
Our guests are Katalin Barta Weissert, professor for Chemistry at the University of Graz, CSO & Co-Founder of PureSurf FlexCo, and Markus Hochegger-Krawanja, CEO & Co-Founder PureSurf FlexCo, who will talk about their insights and learnings in the context of the EIC Transition project PureSurf : Bio-based surfactants from renewable waste streams for the circular economy, stemming from the ERC Proof of Concept Grant PURE : Prototyping emerging bio-based products from lignocellulose by zero-waste pathways.
The ERC & EIC Short Talk starts with a short introduction of the ERC Proof of Concept Grant, the EIC Pathfinder and the EIC Transition instrument, the key Horizon Europe funding instruments to support the translation of research results into new products or services. Afterwards, speakers talk about their experiences with these schemes and will answer participants´ questions. We are looking forward to interactive discussions.
The ERC & EIC Short talks address in particular the following target groups:
- ERC Grantees interested in research transfer
- EIC Pathfinder applicants and beneficiaries
- EIC Transition Instrument applicants and beneficiaries
- Members of Tech Transfer Offices (TTOs)
- Research managers and administrators at universities, research institutions and companies
