Broadband Austria 2030: Access

Comprehensive coverage of households, companies and public institutions with gigabit-capable access

Broadband Austria 2030: Access aims to significantly improve broadband availability in those areas of Austria that are not, or only insufficiently, developed through private-sector expansion due to market failure. The funding enables a substantial reduction in the costs of deploying gigabit-capable communication infrastructure in Austria.

The objective of the Broadband Austria 2030: Access funding is to provide comprehensive, nationwide coverage of households, businesses, and public institutions with gigabit-capable connections, along with the associated ability to use innovative services. The subsidized deployment of gigabit-capable access networks is intended to stimulate the wholesale market and ensure competition in the retail market.
