Funding rates in Horizon Europe

Based on the applicable funding rate, the EU Commission funds a defined percentage of each Beneficiary's eligible costs, depending on the type of action and the type of organisation.
Horizon Europe generally follows the principle: “One project – one funding rate.”

Which funding rate applies to my organisation?

The applicable funding rate for each project is specified in the call.

The individual funding rate for each Beneficiary is listed in the Data Sheet of the Grant Agreement, under Point 3 “Grant”.

Please note: The funding rate for affiliated entities is assessed independently from that of the Beneficiary they are linked to (i.e. the Beneficiary’s funding rate does not automatically apply to affiliated entities involved in the project).

Please note: If relevant characteristics of a Beneficiary change during the project (e.g. change of organisation type or legal status), the funding rate may need to be adjusted. In such cases, a formal amendment to the Grant Agreement is usually required.
