GigaApp supports flagship projects with supra-regional visibility and role-model function across vertical business sectors such as energy, industry, mobility, tourism, agriculture, and forestry. The call is open and not restricted to specific business sectors.
Funding is provided for the development of innovative digital applications (e.g. hardware and/or software) and services based on gigabit-capable infrastructure. High-quality internet connectivity via fibre optic infrastructure (FTTH/FTTB) and/or 5G is required.
Broadband Austria 2030: GigaApp is aimed at consortia composed of technology companies, network operators, system integrators, and research institutions, as well as users - for example from the production and service sectors. Municipalities and municipal associations are also addressed within the scope of their commercial activities.
