FTI Initiative for Industrial Transformation

Rethinking Industry

The Climate and Energy Fund's FTI Initiative for Industrial Transformation makes an important contribution toward  Innovation Capacity   and the  Competitiveness of Austrian Companies and Research Institutions   The program supports industry and technology providers in developing, testing, and demonstrating innovations in real-world settings. This shortens the path from research to market.

The goal of the RTI (Research, Technology, and Innovation) initiative is to develop and implement innovative projects that demonstrate how  climate-neutral production in Austria   can work. At the same time, the goal is to boost the competitiveness of domestic companies in the global market and anchor Austria more firmly in international value chains. This will permanently increase the resilience and long-term viability of Austria as an industrial hub.

Funding is provided, among other things, for technologies and system solutions in the areas of  Electrification, energy efficiency, renewable energy, hydrogen, energy storage, and carbon capture, utilization, and storage   by  CO₂.

The target audience includes companies in the manufacturing industry, energy utilities, and technology providers along the value chain, as well as research institutions and universities.
