Industry-related PhD dissertationsFunding is available for industry-related PhD dissertations by students in companies and non-university research institutions in Austria. Dissertation projects that address a scientific or technical research question in the relevant areas of the call for proposals are eligible for funding. Internships for female studentsInternships for female students are designed to attract young female scientists to careers in applied research in the natural sciences and technology RTI sector (research, technology and innovation). Female students learn about career paths and advancement opportunities and gain a sound insight into applied research and development. Internships for school pupilsThe aim of the call for proposals is to promote young talent in the natural sciences and technology. Young people should be inspired to take up FTI in order to support them in their future study or career choices. Pupils from all types of schools, even those without prior technical knowledge, are given the opportunity to gain practical insights into RTI during four-week internships in the summer months in order to deepen their interest in RTI. In particular, the aim is to strengthen young women's interest in science and technology. Talents regionalThe initiative enables comprehensive and sustainable networking between educational institutions, industry and research. The focus is on developing and implementing a wide range of attractive educational opportunities for children and young people in the fields of research, technology and innovation in science and technology. Educational and research institutions work together with companies to offer activities in close proximity to each other, so that children and young people – regardless of their social or geographical background – can engage intensively with exciting topics. Laura Bassi: Shaping an equitable futureThe initiative promotes the implementation of specific innovation projects (products, processes, services) in a network of several consortium members who contribute to shaping a future with equal opportunities. Cooperation with other organisations is intended above all to strengthen the innovative capacity of Austrian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and lead to a sustainable leap in quality and innovation.
