Objectives
COMET Centres aim to develop and focus competences through excellent cooperative research with a medium to long term perspective. They conduct research at top international level and stimulate new research ideas in their fields. Continuous international benchmarking must be ensured. They contribute to initiating product, process and service innovations with a view to future relevant markets.
Requirements
Consortium: At least one scientific partner and five company partners
Duration: 8 years (4+4)
Financing:
- 50% public funding
- Min. 5% by scientific partners
- Min. 40% by company partners
- Max. federal funding: 2 million Euro/year
- Max. federal funding: 1 million Euro/year
The COMET programme addresses both existing competence centres and COMET projects as well as new consortia of science and industry.
The programme line COMET Centres K2 will no longer be continued.
