COMET Centres (K2) aim to focus existing competences and develop new competences by collaborating with international researchers of renown, scientific partners and companies in a joint strategically oriented research programme at the highest level.

What is being funded A maximum of 55% of the eligible costs can be funded.
Min. / max. funding 0 / max. 4 million €/year federal funding (as of 3rd Call; previously 5 million €/year) plus max. 2 million €/year provincial funding (as of 3rd Call; previously: 2.5 million Euro/year)
Eligible costs Fundable costs include personnel costs as well as other project-related direct costs (use of RDI infrastructure, third-party costs, travel expenses, material and equipment costs). Details concerning the fundable costs can be found in the programme document and the COMET guideline.

Description of the target group:
The COMET programme addresses both existing competence centres and COMET projects as well as new consortia of science and industry.
