FFG Academy: Mastering the COST Application Process

Registration is closed!

09.06.2026, 09:30 - 12:30
This training is designed for experts from all sectors and disciplines based in Austria, who plan a COST Action application as Main Proposer.

The deadline for this Open Call is 28 October 2026 12:00 noon (CEST). Please note that there are new rules and guidelines for this Collection Date (Call)!

The training content is relevant for first-time main proposers as well as resubmitting applicants. A clear project concept for a COST Action is a precondition for participation.

This training and the accompanying materials provide you with in-depth knowledge to prepare your COST application. Additionally, insights from previous calls are taken into account. Good practice examples from funded COST Actions, feedback from evaluators, and exchanges with other applicants complement this information.

Content:

  • The network of proposers: participating countries, target groups and conditions of participation
  • Structure of the COST Action, roles and leadership positions
  • Which activities are eligible for funding?
  • The proposal: individual sections and eligibility criteria
  • What makes a good proposal?
  • Further documents and information

Documents and further information

The training will be conducted in English.

Attention: Registrations are usually processed in the order in which they are received. For events with a specific target audience (e.g., beginners, applicants, multipliers), we reserve the right to reject timely registrations from individuals who do not fit the target group. The mere technical submission of a registration does not automatically entitle participation. A confirmation or rejection will be sent as soon as possible after your registration.
