Innovative Health Initiative IHI, Call 2026

Single-Stage Call 12

The Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) is an institutionalized European partnership between the European Commission and the major industry associations of the European life sciences sector. These include, in addition to the pharmaceutical industry association EFPIA, COCIR for imaging, information technologies, and electromedicine, MedTechEurope for medical technology, EuropaBio for biotechnology, and VaccinesEurope for vaccine manufacturing.

In the single-stage, applicant-driven Call 12, five topics are launched, for which projects can be submitted without predefined thematic restrictions, provided they fit for one of the five specific objectives of the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SIRA). These cross-sectoral projects address an unmet need in the field of public health.

For single-stage IHI calls, at least 45% of the eligible project costs must be contributed by the industry partners, the members of the Innovative Health Initiative associations, or the contributing partners.
