The 10th call of the Digital Europe Programme announces three topics with a focus on advanced digital skills.

Although the number of bachelor's and master's programmes in the EU has increased over the years, academic offerings in the EU lag behind in advanced digital technologies, particularly when compared to the US and UK. The topic Advanced Digital Skills for AI Uptake in Health addresses this gap by establishing and expanding education and training offerings in the area of AI in healthcare.
EC funding budget: 7.8 million euros, 2 projects | EC funding rate: 50% (Lump Sum Grant)
For this topic, it is possible to apply for national co-funding. To be eligible, the fully completed and officially signed “Expression of Interest” (EoI) must be submitted by email to [email protected] and [email protected] by September 21, 2026, at the latest.
Please note that national co-funding is available for co-funding amounts of at least 100,000 euros per organisation.
Please note: Starting with this call for proposals, in addition to individual submissions, you have the option to submit your EC project as a national consortium together with other Austrian project partners. In this case, the required minimum amount for co-funding increases in proportion to the number of partners (e.g., for a consortium of 3 project partners, the minimum amount is 300,000 euros) and is considered as a whole for the national consortium. A separate, officially signed EoI must be submitted by each partner until the deadline. Detailed information can be found in the EoI template.
The evaluation of the submitted EoIs will take place after the above-mentioned deadline has passed. In the event of a positive evaluation and available funding, you will receive feedback in the form of a “Letter of Intent” before the European Commission’s submission deadline. We are happy to answer any questions you may have in advance.
The second topic Digital Skills and Jobs Platform comprises two work strands: The first strand is providing support for the procurement of a platform. The second strand in this call aims to further expand the activities of the National Coalition websites set up under CEF and DIGITAL calls for proposals, as well as to support the creation of new websites in those Member States that do not yet have a National Coalition or corresponding website.

Due to technological advances (e. g. Generative AI, robotics, extended reality), the education and training sector has experienced profound changes in recent years. The aim of the topic EdTech accelerator is to support the European Education Technology (EdTech) sector, especially start-ups and SMEs, to accelerate the development of innovative, market-ready solutions that meet European values on ethics, inclusion, accessibility, data protection, security and sound pedagogical foundations.
