Although the number of bachelor's and master's programs in the EU has increased over the years, academic offerings in the EU lag behind in advanced digital technologies, particularly when compared to the US and UK. The topic Advanced Digital Skills for AI Uptake in Health addresses this gap by establishing and expanding education and training offerings in the area of AI in healthcare.
EC funding budget: EUR 7.8 million, 2 projects | EC funding rate: 50% (Lump Sum Grant)
For this topic, it is possible to apply for national co-funding. A prerequisite is the timely submission of the fully completed and duly signed One pager via email to patricia. trinkl@ffg. at and max. arends@ffg. at no later then 21 September, 2026. Please note that national co-funding is possible for co-funding amounts of at least EUR 100,000. The evaluation will take place after the deadline. In case of a positive evaluation and availability of co-funding, you will receive a “Letter of Intent” before the EC submission deadline. We are available to answer any questions in advance.
The second topic Digital Skills and Jobs Platform comprises two work strands, with the first strand providing for the procurement of a platform. The second strand in this call aims to further expand the activities of the National Coalition websites set up under CEF and DIGITAL calls for proposals, as well as to support the creation of new websites in those Member States that do not yet have a National Coalition or corresponding website.

Due to technological advances (e. g. Generative AI, robotics, extended reality), the education and training sector has experienced profound changes in recent years. Aim of the topic EdTech accelerator is to support the European Education Technology (EdTech) sector, especially start-ups and SMEs, to accelerate the development of innovative, market-ready solutions that meet European values on ethics, inclusion, accessibility, data protection, security and sound pedagogical foundations.
