Calls for proposals in SO5 of the Digital Europe Programme

The Digital Europe Programme (DIGITAL) supports the digital transformation of European society. The tenth call for proposals starts on April 21, 2026 and is open until October 1, 2026. The aim of the activities under SO5 "Accelerating the Best Use of Technologies " is to support SMEs and public institutions in the digital transformation and to continue activities already started under DIGITAL.

What can be funded?

In the 10th call in the Digital Europe Programme, four topics are announced under the focus “Accelerating the Best Use of Technologies” and one topic under “Program Support Actions”. With the tender topic Ensuring comprehensive geographical coverage of the Network of Safer Internet Centers (SICs) national Safer Internet Centers will continue to be supported, which provide information, education and advice on safe use of the Internet for children, young people, parents and educators. 
EC funding budget: EUR 10 million, 750,000 euros are available for an Austrian SIC | EC funding rate: 50% (Simple Grant)

For this topic, it is possible to apply for national co-funding. A prerequisite is the timely submission of the fully completed and duly signed One pager via email to patricia. trinkl@ffg. at and max. arends@ffg. at no later then 21 September, 2026. Please note that national co-funding is possible for co-funding amounts of at least EUR 100,000. The evaluation will take place after the deadline. In case of a positive evaluation and availability of co-funding, you will receive a “Letter of Intent” before the EC submission deadline. We are available to answer any questions in advance.

The European Health Data Space (EHDS) regulation strengthens the rights of EU citizens to control their health data and the EU-wide exchange of health data. The topic Building capacity to deploy the EEHRxF and digital health services and systems to support the rights of citizens and reuse of health data under EHDS supports capacity building to promote the objectives of the EHDS Regulation. 
EC funding budget: EUR 14.4 million, 1 project | EC funding rate: 100% (Grant for financial support to third parties)

The topic Research Support Framework for Situational Awareness on information integrity supports the first steps towards establishing and implementing the Common Research Support Framework for Information Integrity. Together with the European Digital Media Observatory (EDMO) and the European Network of Fact-Checkers project, this framework will help create an ecosystem that increases situational awareness, provides insights and analyzes the integrity of the information space in Europe. 
EC funding budget: EUR 6 million, 1 project | EC funding rate: 100% (Grant for financial support)

European Digital Infrastructure Consortia (EDICs) are large projects involving at least three member states. In order to strengthen the EDIC ecosystem and support the long-term goals, the topic Support to the implementation of Multi-Country Projects: EDIC Support Hub the establishment of an EDIC Support Hub, which will support EDICs, Member States and the European Commission in the future. 
EC funding budget: EUR 1 million, 1 project | EC funding rate: 100% (Coordination and Support Action)

Aim of the topic Support to Dissemination and Exploitation (D&E) for the Digital Europe Programme is to maximize the impact and use of the results of the Digital Europe program, through an operational framework for Dissemination and Exploitation (D&E) activities. The measure builds on the activities of the funded project DEDEP. eu and strengthens or expands them.
