Digital Europe Programme - Accelerating the Best Use of Technologies (SO5)

Calls for proposals in SO5 of the Digital Europe Programme

The Digital Europe Programme (DIGITAL) supports the digital transformation of European society. The 10th call for proposals started on April 21, 2026 and is open until October 1, 2026. The aim of the activities under SO5 "Accelerating the Best Use of Technologies " is to support SMEs and public institutions in their digital transformation and to continue activities already started under DIGITAL.

What can be funded?

The 10th call of the Digital Europe Programme announces four topics under the specific objective “Accelerating the Best Use of Technologies” and one topic under “Programme Support Actions”. For current information on events organised by the European Commission (EC) on the tender topics, please see the EC website Shaping Europe's digital future

Are you planning a submission and looking for suitable partners? Use the b2match platform for international networking - organised by DEP4ALL, the network of national contact points for Digital Europe.

With the call topic Ensuring comprehensive geographical coverage of the Network of Safer Internet Centers (SICs), national Safer Internet Centers will continue to be supported in providing information, education and advice on the safe use of the Internet for children, young people, parents and educators.
EC funding budget: 10 million euros, 750,000 euros are available for an Austrian SIC | EC funding rate: 50% (Simple Grant)

For this topic, it is possible to apply for national co-funding. To be eligible, the fully completed and officially signed “Expression of Interest” (EoI) must be submitted by email to [email protected] and [email protected] by September 21, 2026, at the latest.

Please note that national co-funding is available for co-funding amounts of at least 100,000 euros per organisation.

Please note: Starting with this call for proposals, in addition to individual submissions, you have the option to submit your EC project as a national consortium together with other Austrian project partners. In this case, the required minimum amount for co-funding increases in proportion to the number of partners (e.g., for a consortium of 3 project partners, the minimum amount is 300,000 euros) and is considered as a whole for the national consortium. A separate, officially signed EoI must be submitted by each partner until the deadline. Detailed information can be found in the EoI template.

The evaluation of the submitted EoIs will take place after the above-mentioned deadline has passed. In the event of a positive evaluation and available funding, you will receive feedback in the form of a “Letter of Intent” before the European Commission’s submission deadline. We are happy to answer any questions you may have in advance.
