Indication in the proposal
In the proposal form (Part B, Section 3.1, Tables 3.1a, 3.1b and 3.1f), beneficiaries must indicate how many person months are foreseen for the implementation of the project.
- A person month represents the estimated working time that one person will dedicate to the project.
- These figures must be provided per work package and per beneficiary for the entire project duration.
Calculation
The estimation of person months is usually based on the following calculation:
1 person month = actual annual productive hours divided by 12
The actual annual productive hours are organisation-specific, depending for example on national regulations or internal working time models.
Notes on budget planning
- The calculation should be based on a realistic but flexible estimate, allowing for factors such as future salary increases.
- Consistency is key: the figures in the proposal (Part B) must align with the budget in Annex 2 of the GA.
