INDTECH2018: "Innovative industries for smart growth" in the focus of the largest EU-conference in the field of industrial technologies

Sabine Herlitschka: Europe needs a strategic industrial policy

Within the scope of the EU Presidency, the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation of the European Commission, the Austrian Federal Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology (BMVIT) and the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) invite to INDTECH2018. The conference will offer keynote presentations, talks on issues close to industry's interests, a matchmaking event and exhibition. Furthermore it will provide excellent opportunities to meet experts from industry, academia and policy, as around 1.000 participants from more than 30 countries in Europe and worldwide are expected.
"Know-how, research and new technologies are the decisive factors for success in global markets. Europe needs a strategic industrial policy focusing on innovative key enabling technologies and strategic value chains in all industrial sectors with a close link between research, development and manufacturing. In this way, we can sustainably shape the digital landscape in Europe, strengthen our economic independence and secure our social standards", says Sabine Herlitschka, CEO & CTO of Infineon Technologies Austria, who is one of the keynote speakers.
