FFG Academy: Online Session for Supervisors in MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships

19.05.2026, 10:00 - 12:00
How can established researchers (e.g. professors, group leaders and similar) wishing to host MSCA Postdoctoral Fellows optimally contribute to a successful proposal in the upcoming call for MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships?

Are you an established researcher in Austria (e.g. professor, group leader or similar), planning to invite a postdoctoral researcher to apply with you as a supervisor for a MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship in the 2026 call (deadline 9 September)? Although the proposal for a MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship is mainly written by the future fellow, a sound and competitive proposal also requires input from the future supervisor and the host institution. Based on evaluators’ comments and our own observations, we will discuss how supervisors can optimally support the application of the fellow. There will be also a recap of the most important facts about the funding scheme.

Participation is free of charge. The session will be held in English.

Please note: The session is specifically designed for supervisors with affiliation in Austria planning to host fellows applying for the 2026 call for Postdoctoral Fellowships. Research support units are also welcome to participate. There is a dedicated proposal writing training for the fellows planning to apply for this call with a host organisation in Austria on 5 and 7 May.
