Horizon Europe: Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions

Career development through international mobility and personalized research projects

The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) support researchers at all stages of their careers and promote scientific exchange between different countries, disciplines and types of organization (universities, companies, etc.). The topics of the research projects can be chosen freely.

As part of the column Science excellence of Horizon Europe are pursuing the Marie Skłodowska-Curie measures following goals :

  • Better career opportunities for researchers through individual training programs and attractive financial support.
  • More highly qualified researchers for the European research area.
  • Increased knowledge transfer between science and business, different disciplines and countries within and outside Europe.

The programme enables universities, research institutes, companies and other organizations to hire talented researchers from abroad and enter into strategic partnerships with leading global institutions. Depending on the measure, individual organizations, consortia or experienced researchers can apply for projects together with a host organization.

There are five different Marie Skłodowska-Curie measures, for which a call for proposals is opened every year (for MSCA Citizens: every other year). Conditions of participation and target groups vary depending on the measure.
