KLON: People in research, technology and innovation

The Federal Ministry for Innovation, Mobility and Infrastructure (BMIMI) offers funding to increase employment in research, technology and innovation. Particular emphasis is placed on increasing the proportion of women, building up RTI knowledge and expertise, and creating the necessary structures to promote research careers.

Objectives:

  • Attract people – especially girls and young women – to the FTI sector through practical experience, and develop and strengthen existing female researchers and technicians.
  • Support organisations in promoting equal opportunities, diversity and participation in order to contribute to a cultural change and create a culture of innovation, thereby counteracting the shortage of skilled workers in Austria.
