FFG launches EXPEDITION FUTURE

10 million euros will be used to support ideas and innovations that bring about major changes in markets, technologies or society, and contribute to a positive future.

“In the fight against the climate crisis, we need ambitious climate protection at all levels. Sustainable innovations and technologies can play a significant role in making our economy and society climate friendly and fit for the future. EXPEDITION FUTURE makes available 10 million euros to encourage groundbreaking innovations,” says Federal Minister for Climate Action Leonore Gewessler about the aims of the new programme which is being implemented by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG).

“We need new solutions and new technologies for a liveable future. The last few crisis years have clearly shown that we need to play an active role. That’s why we’re excited to support groundbreaking innovations with this initiative. After all, this is exactly what Austria needs as a sustainable and resilient business location,” says FFG Managing Director Klaus Pseiner.

In its new EXPEDITION FUTURE programme, the FFG is funding groundbreaking innovations for a better future with a total of 10 million euros, financed by the Future Austria Fund. The first call starts on 5 June 2023. EXPEDITION FUTURE covers a series of calls aimed at a variety of target groups and different phases of innovation.
