What is the Patent.Voucher about?
Patent.Voucher improves cooperation with patent offices. The funding program provides access to IP expertise, in particular for the early analysis of a "freedom to operate", for efficient patent applications an for accompanying support of your internationalisation activities.

Patent.Voucher key data
- Funding is open to all topics and technologies
- Submission at any time with fast approval process
- Evaluations are conducted by experts of a patent office
- Costs max. 12,500 EUR (only third-party costs are eligible for funding: dialogue research, patent application, monitoring)
- Grant up to max. 10,000 EUR (funding intensity is therefore 80 %)
- 1 Patent.Voucher per year and company (duration 24 months)
- Phase 1 (obligation): You have one year to interactively clarify patentability with a national patent office in Europe.
- Phase 2 (option): If patentability is recommended by the patent office, Patent.Scheck will provide additional support for patent application and patent monitoring (optional phase 2).
- Installment payments are made after phases 1 and 2 (interim installment of max. 80% of phase 1 costs and final installment of max. 80% of phase 2 costs).
