Projektbeschreibung
LeanOS ist ein neuartiges Betriebssystem für zukünftige Bordcomputer, die auf dem Xentium DSP basieren. Sein neues Konzept ermöglicht es, die Ressourcen dieser neuen Rechenplattform auszuschöpfen. LeanOS ist hochgradig skalierbar und dennoch äußerst schlank. Gegenwärtig ist es experimentelle Software, aus der durch das vorliegende Projekt ein qualifizierbares Betriebssystem entstehen soll, welches mit den Standardtools des Xentium ausgeliefert wird.
Abstract
LeanOS is a novel operating system for future payload data processor platforms based on the Xentium DSP. Through its unique concept it allows to make full use of the resources of this specific platform. LeanOS is highly scalable yet it has a small footprint. Currently, it is available as an experimental software, and through this project it shall be developed into a qualifiable OS, which is delivered as part of the Xentium toolchain.
