Our goal is to help hospitals and doctor offices worldwide to efficiently screen their patients for COVID-19 prior to a consultation or planned surgery. This serves as a first-line defense against any disease or potentially emerging epidemics (including COVID-19). We will achieve this goal by building an artificial intelligence (AI) screening all patients in all European languages (and beyond) capitalizing on (1) the first AI-based chatbot assessing each patient’s risk of having contracted the specific virus, (2) a multilingual reporting platform for medical review and (3) triage for flagged cases. We help hospitals to screen COVID-19 risk in patients digitally before the visit and allow for contactless check-ins. Hospitals direct patients to their website to assess their COVID-19 risk via Symptoma’s AI-based chatbot (integrated into their websites). Patients print out the result which includes a QR code, the COVID-19 risk level (high/medium/low) and a timestamp. Preferably, patients save the report on their smartphone via a dedicated app by Symptoma. Medium/High risk patients are triaged to specialists to diagnose and treat COVID-19. Low risk patients follow a different route as defined by the hospital. Outpatients with smartphones follow this procedure prior to their visit or in waiting rooms for fast check-ins. Assessment can be conducted in +36 different languages, whereas doctors see reports in their own preferred language.
