Das Ziel von IEA Bioenergy Task 33 „Vergasung von Biomasse und Abfall“ ist es, Informationen über die Erzeugung und Nutzung von Heiz- bzw. Synthesegasen aus Biomasse und Abfall für den Einsatz in umweltverträglichen, energieeffizienten und wirtschaftlich konkurrenzfähigen Energiebereitstellungssystemen auszutauschen. Vor allem wird auf Informationsaustausch über die F&E Programme im Bereich Biomasse-, Abfall- und Reststoffvergasung, die kommerziellen Anlagen und die Marktchancen für Biomassevergasungssysteme Wert gelegt, um Hürden zu identifizieren und zu beseitigen. Österreich ist seit 1978 Mitglied im Bioenergy Implementing Agreement der Internationalen Energieagentur (IEA Bioenergy). Im kommenden Triennium 2022-2024 wird der Schwerpunkt im Task 33 vor allem auf der Produktgasanwendungen liegen. Es wurden 6 Schwerpunkte definiert:: - Vergasung für KWK Produktion - Synthetisches Erdgas via Vergasung - Produktion von Biobrennstoffen - Produktion von Biochemicalien - Wassestroffproduktion - Vergasung als CO2 Speicherungstechnologie Zu jedem Thema werden informativen Datenblätter errarbeitet. Das Ziel ist es die Potenziale der Vergasung noch besser ermitteln und präsentieren zu können. Österreich wird für das Thema Vergasung für KWK Produktion zuständig sein, wird aber bei anderen Themen mitwirkend tätig. Es werden wieder Task Meetings (6 Meetings) Workshops (3 pro Triennium) und Webinare (3 pro Triennium) vom Task 33 organisiert und durchgeführt. Am Ende des Trienniums wird von jedem Land wieder ein umfangreicher Country Report erstellt und auf der Task 33 Webseite veröffentlicht. Es ist auch eine regelmäßige Aktualisierung der Webseite und Datenbank unter der Zuständigkeite von Österreich geplant. Österreichische Stakeholder (Forschung und Industrie) kann Information über den Task nach außen kommunizieren und die Informationen aus dem Task werden nach Österreich in verschiedenen Formen fließen um die Stakeholder über die Aktivitäten im Bereich der thermischen Vergasung zu informieren: 1) Newsletter (2x pro Jahr) 2) Internationale Anwenderkonferenz (jedes zweite Jahr - 2021, 2023, usw.) 3) Weiterbilgunsaktivitäten (online Seminare, Vorträge) 4) Einladungen zu Workshops und Webinaren. 5) Zwischenberichte, Endbericht

Abstract

The aim of Task 33 „Gasification of Biomass and Waste" is to exchange information on the production and utilization of product gases from thermal gasification to produce heat, electricity, chemicals and fuels. Especially the information exchange about R&D programs in the area of biomass gasification, about commercial plants and about possible markets is taken into account, to remove technical and non-technical barriers for the market introduction of biomass gasification Austria is since 1978 member of the Bioenergy Implementing Agreement from the IEA. In the upcoming triennium the focus will be given to the utilization of product gas from gasification. It was 6 topics chosen: - Gasification for CHP production - Gasification for SNG - Gasification for fuels production - Gasification for chemicals production - Gasification for hydrogen production - Gasification in relation to CO2 capture and storage Each topic will be leaded by one member country, other member countries will cooperate. To each topic fact sheets will be published. Austrian representatives will be responsible for "Gasification for CHP production", anyway they will be active also within all other topics. Furthermore, there wil be 6 task meetings, 3 workshops and 3 webinars planned in the upcoming triennium. During each task meeting, the status of gasification in each member country will be presented. The website and the database will be udated regurarly by Austrian members. Austrian stakeholder will be invited to transport information via the task and information from the Task will be disseminated within Austria in different ways : 1) Newsletter (2x per year) 2) International conference of gasification applications (each second year - 2021, 2023, etc.) 3) Educational activities (Seminars, Lectures, etc.) 4) Invitations to workshops and webinars 5) Interim reports, final report
